An 18-month PERFORM programme supported 24 newly configured line-leader roles within an 800-employee manufacturing site.
A manufacturing change programme designed around the capability required at the point where supervision, production and shift-team performance meet.
The site faced process waste alongside high sickness and absence, employee turnover and low motivation across shift teams. The organisation chose to redesign the supervisory role as line leader, place greater responsibility at the production interface and build semi-autonomous shift teams.
PERFORM was selected following a competitive shortlist. Fourteen performance skills were organised around structure and process, productivity and output, and leadership and motivation. Delivery combined self-managed online learning, peer cohorts, facilitated workshops, workplace projects and regular review.
The programme was measured against operational and people outcomes after implementation.
Historical case-study outcomes are reported by Skillogy from the assignment concerned. They demonstrate prior workplace application and measured outcomes; they are not presented as guarantees of future results.
PERFORM is designed around the capability an organisation needs to strengthen — and the work in which that capability has to be applied.
